Title: Galois Polynomials
Abstract:
Let n be a positive integer, and Z_n* be the multiplicative group modular n. We associate for each subgroup H of Z_n* with a polynomial Jn,H (x), which is called the Galois Polynomial. It tuns out that Jn,H(x) is a polynomial with integer coefficients for any n and H. If H is just the trivival subgroup {1}, Jn,H(x) is simply the Cyclotomic Polynomial. An equivalent condition is studied for a subgroup H to provide the Galois Polynomial Jn,H (x) is irreducible over Q.
